Manual stands are mostly set to a certain height and left there, giving good but not ideal access to all parts of the bike. Rotation mechanisms are often just cumbersome enough to not use them every time you would like to.

Possibly Asked Questions

Does E-Billy require an engineering degree to assemble and set up upon arrival?

Absolutely not, all you need are 6 mm and 5 mm hex keys and 10 minutes of your time before you are all set for lifting those heavy e-bikes that have been breaking your back.

Do I need to turn my E-Billy off when not using it for longer periods of time?

You can leave E-Billy plugged in and turned on overnight without a problem. We do however recommend flipping the switch if you plan on leaving it unused for longer periods of time.

In case of a breakdown, do you provide service manuals, spare parts and support?

Even though every part of E-Billy was designed to avoid having to repair anything, we are ready for any problems you may encounter. Every single part was designed to be replaceable and we can provide them to you along with service procedures and any other support you may need. We pride ourselves on good customer service as that distinguishes us from many bigger companies. Any obstacle you encounter or question you have, contact us at info@dbd-tools.com and we will reply right away, working directly with you to get you back to working on bikes.

Can I buy add-ons later or do I have to specify them when first ordering?

All add-ons for E-Billy are modular and can be purchased later and installed with ease.

What can I use to clean E-Billy?

We recommend using only isopropyl alcohol. Other cleaning solutions most likely will not damage anything but we cannot guarantee it for the entire spectrum of existing cleaners.

Will my E-Billy break if I spill water over it?

Although E-Billy doesn’t have an official IP rating, most parts are either aluminum, stainless steel or thickly powder coated steel so rust isn’t a problem. You should take extra care not to spill anything over the electronics box as any water damage isn’t covered under warranty.

Can I break E-Billy if I overload it?

No, the electronic load control will stop the movement if you overload the stand. To reset the stand after an overload you need to hold both controller buttons for 5 seconds. For troubleshooting info, please refer to the user’s manual.

Will the power cable fit the power outlets where I live?

As standard, we supply E-Billy with a 1.5 m long power cable with an EU plug. If you need a different cable length (some users have power outlets mounted on the ceiling and need a longer cable) or plug, please let us know during the ordering process and we will ship your E-Billy with it.
